Walking Time
Tom Flemming

Walking Time makes use of Internet traffic to set pictures in motion. It takes keywords from a search engine in order to generate a dynamic time code. Keywords found stimulate a fast framerate while low traffic causes the pictures to slow down and eventually reverse their sequence.

As a result surprising and often amusing situations occur. Strangers begin to move in a seemingly connected ballet, dancing and repeating movements in a pattern that evokes a familiar relationship. See the preview of Walking Time at www.timecode.org
