PROFILE

DA2 supports creative work that can explore how the digital processes are shaping our understanding of the world and giving new breadth to the imagination.

Through our activities we bridge creative practice in the arts and in industry, and work across all art forms. The DA2 programme encompasses any work that uses computer processes in its production, exhibition or distribution; its purpose is to ask what makes that work distinctive.

Since March 2001, DA2 has developed its programme nationally, through the support of the University of Westminster.

Previously, the core funding for DA2 came from a three-year grant awarded by the National Lottery, although our many and varied arts projects have been funded through a range of different sources.

Partnerships have always been key to DA2's way of working and we have been keen to establish strategic and mutual partnerships that could enable us to further develop the breadth of our programme beyond 2001. Working closely with the University of Westminster's Centre for Arts, Research, Technology and Education (CARTE), DA2 is able to emphasise its developmental projects that work with experimental and innovative forms of practice.

The relationship also enables DA2 to consolidate its activity as a national organisation with a base in London. At the same time, DA2 will maintain it's activity in the South West through its key ongoing partnerships with regional organisations, such as South West Screen.
