The Container

The container is a means of technological repatriation - it was packed with computers and accessories and shipped to Jamaica in October 1998.

The Container has been travelling round the Caribbean, providing technical advice, support and solutions, training preparation for further education or DIY media, and a link between Caribbean and UK communities.

Earlier in 1998 the year the Container spent a week in St Pauls, Bristol, during the Carnival period, as part of the DA2 Input programme. It has since been at various events in London providing arts and training workshops.

The Container is brought to Bristol in association with IANI media, Mongrel and Escape with funding from ESF and Skillnet South West.
